How to Have Skin Without a Wrinkle With Botox?

ByGita Meshkat Razavi
Tired of Searching for Wrinkle Creams? It can be frustrating to purchase an anti wrinkle cream only to find that it doesn't reduce wrinkles. Maybe it's time to find a better solution.
Botox is a trade name for the neurotoxic protein called botulinum toxin that is produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Botulinum toxin is sold commercially under the different brand names Botox, BTXA, Dysport, Myobloc, Neurobloc, Xeomin, Botox Cosmetic, and Vistabel.
Botox works to relax the contraction of muscles by blocking nerve impulses. The result is muscles that can no longer contract, and so the wrinkles relax and soften. It usually takes two to four days to see cosmetic improvement and the effects tend to last from four to six months. Most patients require retreatment to remove wrinkles and lines as they begin to reappear, but after each injection the wrinkles return as less severe as the muscles are trained to relax.
The Anatomy of the Wrinkle
The lines that appear between your brows (glabellar lines) actually result from muscle movement and the passage of time. You may have heard the expression "wearing your emotions on your sleeve," but in reality you wear them on your face. If you're angry or annoyed, for example, you knit your brows together. Underneath your skin, your facial muscles contract, cause a pleating of the overlying skin, and then, as anyone can see, you're frowning. After years of crinkling and wrinkling, those glabellar lines start to linger longer and can become more pronounced. For women, whose faces tend to be more animated than men's, and whose skin is typically more delicate, these lines may appear exaggerated and more permanent. Fortunately, there is a way to temporarily reduce moderate to severe glabellar lines. Treatment with BOTOX

4 Ways of Treating Hypertrophic Scars Revealed

BySusannah Blake
Scarring is normal. In fact, it is the body's way of healing a once open injury. With the help of collagen, blood tissues are reconnected to form a protective covering on the injury - the scar. Although normal scars are flat and discolored as compared with the original skin, some scars become puffy and elevated and turn pinkish to reddish in color. These types of scars are more commonly known as hypertrophic scars.
Tattoos, burns, and injections are general causes of hypertrophic scars. They may affect individuals of all ages and depending on one's genes since, according to studies, some people are more prone to developing it than others. People with fair-complexion are more prone to acquiring and because of their lighter skin color, scarring becomes more visible.
Hypertrophic scars happen only in the area where the wound is, not like keloid scars that grow bigger than the wound. Due to over-production of collagen, hypertrophic scarring may occur that could lead to the scar's elevated appearance, itching sensation, and a reddish pigmentation of the skin. Typically non-cancerous, some individuals opt to have these scars removed.
How to Deal with Hypertrophic Scars
Scars, in general, are unsightly. For one, it reduces one's attractiveness and flawlessness when even a small scar is visible to others. Following are techniques on how to treat hypertrophic scarring.
1. Laser treatment- Highly effective in removing scars, laser surgery involves vaporizing the scar tissues one level at a time, starting at the top-most layer of skin. This will then expose the lower skin layer and thus, initiate the growth of new collagen tissues. Duration of treatment may vary depending on the depth of the injury. Patients are advised to undergo laser treatment a couple of times in order to achieve maximum effect.
2. Chemical peels- This procedure involves application of certain chemicals on the scar to remove the upper dermis and promote skin exfoliation. As new skin develops, the scarring becomes unnoticeable. However, this may be a costly method of scar removal because a patient has to have several peeling sessions for better results.
3. Dermabrasion- This method is typically used for the improvement of the appearance of scars and fine lines. The patient must be under general anesthesia as this procedure involves intentionally "wounding" the skin and causing it to bleed. When the wound heals, damaged skin removed during the abrasion process is replaced with new skin growths.
4. Cortisone injections- Using this method, steroids are injected onto hypertrophic a scar, which, in time, becomes less visible. Among the treatment methods, this is said to be one of the safest and painless procedures.
Removal of hypertrophic scars is mainly due to aesthetic reasons since having them is not life threatening in any way. However, patients must ensure that they are well informed about the pros and cons of each procedure before choosing a specific scar removal treatment.

How At-Home Microdermabrasion Can Save Your Skin

ByEric B Johnson
We all care about our skin and want to have the smoothest and most radiant tone that is possible. All too often, however, we can only achieve that perfect skin by spending hours at the spa.
And we all love going to the spa. It feels great for that day and keeps feeling wonderful for days afterward. But who can afford it? And even if you can afford weekly spa trips, who has the time to do such a thing?
No, the rest of us have to find another course in order to have great looking skin. Finally, there are products available on the market that allow women all over the world to do microdermabrasion at home.
With at-home microdermabrasion you can look and feel like you just left the spa each and every day. From your very own bathroom you can treat your skin with fine products that will have you looking radiant.
Not many years ago a woman could only get a full skin treatment at the spa, but those days are now long gone. Finally, you can treat yourself like the queen you are with microdermabrasion at home.
EnPointe Pirouette Bamboo Microderm Scrub
Pirouette microderm scrub from EnPointe is a fantastic way to rejuvenate your skin on a weekly basis. This anti-aging skincare product uses active extracts and natural botanicals so you can be sure to look radiant, without having to go through the process more than once or twice a week.
The key to Pirouette's success comes from many different avenues. For one, the product contains bamboo beads that have been extracted directly out of the heart of the bamboo stalk. This ingredient not only provides nutrients for your skin, but it gently exfoliates at the same time.
Pirouette also contains Sym-Glucan. Sym Glucan reduces the amount of discoloration in the skin, moisturizes, and helps get rid of wrinkles. Actiphyte of Algae also helps with the moisturizing process.
Using Enpointe's Pirouette scrub is incredibly easy. Once you get out of the shower, put a small amount on your clean damp skin and massage it in for a minute or two. Use a circular motion while rubbing it in. After you are done rinse off with water. Follow this up with your usual serum and moisturizer treatment.
Isomers Exfoliate & Renew Eye Peel
One of the best parts of going to the spa is having an eye peel done. For years this was virtually impossible to do at home. However, Isomers has finally developed an at-home eye peel system that is completely free of acids.
To create this product, the scientists at Isomers' Laboratories started with an ingredient called lactus bacillus ferment. This enzyme works to exfoliate away your dead skin cells. Not only that, but it helps encourage cell turnover and renewal. This will greatly get rid of wrinkles and other fine lines.
On top of that, Isomers Exfoliate & Renew Eye Peel supports natural collagen production, exfoliates around the eyes, and generally helps to produce smoother, more radiant skin in that location.
For the best possible results you should use this eye peel every other evening or so. Simply apply a very thin layer around your eye area after you have cleaned your face. Leave it on for a good five minutes before you then rinse it off. Follow with moisturizers and serums.
Plantogen Body Scrub
The key to many successful microdermabrasion products is in their natural ingredients. Plantogen is an excellent product derived specifically from plant-based ingredients.
One of the key ingredients in Plantogen Body Scrub is Australian raw sugar. This serves as a great way to naturally exfoliate your skin. It also contains rice bran, an ingredient that naturally buffs the skin. This will smooth and polish all the skin it touches.
A common problem in many body scrubs is that they tend to almost scrub too well. Sure, they smooth out the skin and help exfoliate, but they also leach moisture from the skin. However, this is not the case with Plantogen Body Scrub.
Plantogen Body Scrub has several tricks up its sleeve to prevent dryness and irritation. These tricks come in the form of sweet almond oil, soya been oil, jojoba oil, and grape seed oil. These natural soothing oils work together to hydrate your skin without any chemicals.
To use Plantogen Body Scrub just massage it into damp skin and then rinse off. It couldn't be simpler. Just use the product weekly to maintain great looking skin. One other thing though, the floor of your shower might be a little slippery after you use Plantogen Body Scrub, so be sure to clean the floor after every use.
Everyone wants great looking skin, but no one has the time or money to make the spa trips to upkeep it. Well no longer do you have to, thanks to microdermabrasion at home.

How To Treat Warts: 4 Form Of Treatment For The Effective Removal Of Warts From Your Skin

. Their appearance can resemble a solid blister or a cauliflower. Warts are contagious and they occur when the HPV enters the body through an area of broken skin. There are many different treatments and procedures available to treat warts. Warts can be treated in four ways: 1- Self care at Home, 2- Cryotherapy, 3-Laser Therapy and 4- surgical removal.
Self-Care at Home-
1-Adhesive Tape Therapy- Several layers of waterproof adhesive tape should be placed over the wart region for 6 and 1/2 days. After 6 and 1/2 days the tape should be removed and the wart region should be left open to the air for 12 hours. Again, the tape should be reapplied for 6 and 1/2 days. The tape makes the wart area airtight and moist, virus cannot grow and reproduce in moist environment. This therapy works best for warts in the region around the fingernails.
2-Salicylic Acid Therapy- Salicylic acid is a keratolytic agent which removes wart tissue by keratolysis. Salicylic acid preparations are available over the counter in the form of ointment, liquid, pad or gel. The wart should be soaked in warm water for 5 - 10 minutes which enhances the effects of salicylic acid. Then the wart tissue should be pared down with a razor. The salicylic acid preparation should be applied only to the wart tissue. Over-application of these preparations can burn the surrounding normal skin.
A preparation containing 17% salicylic acid and 17% lactic acid can be applied overt the wart tissue everyday after shower. The wart is covered with a water proof tape, after the preparation is dried completely. Next day, the tape should be removed before shower, and the application of salicylic acid preparation should be repeated. Generally, wart falls off in one or two weeks.
Cryotherapy-
The cryosurgery involves freezing of the wart, the liquid nitrogen is used to deep freeze the wart tissue. The liquid nitrogen expands the water in the wart cells which explodes the infected tissue. The body's immune system destroys the virus particles in the exploded cells. The wart and surrounding dead skin falls of by itself. Usually, 3 to 4 cryosurgery treatments are required to remove the wart tissue completely.
Laser Therapy-
Lasers are very intense light sources which has an enormous amount of energy. The laser light heats the wart tissue enough that it vaporizes. In wart treatment, often pulse dye laser or carbon dioxide laser is used. The pulse dye lasers cause healing without scarring and they are less destructive. Where as, carbon dioxide lasers are more destructive and can cause little scarring and it needs local anesthesia or sedation. The pulse dye laser treatment does not need any sedation or local anesthesia. Usually, 2 to 4 laser treatments are required to remove the wart tissue but in extreme cases more sessions are required. Typically, there should be 10 to 14 days gap between the two treatments.
Surgical Removal-
The surgical treatment is indicated when other treatment methods fail. The wart tissue can be excised under local anesthesia. All these procedures, cryosurgery, laser therapy and surgical removal of the warts, are done in a doctor's office.
But how would you like a natural, safe, effective and pain free method to get rid of warts in only 3 days?
Well discover how to get rid of warts once and for all with a natural solution that has worked for hundreds or persons (and growing) to remove warts in 3 days.
