The Benefits of IPL Laser Hair Removal

ByStephanie Zhang
A laser treatment for both removing hair and treating skin conditions is the IPL laser hair removal system. The IPL is not a typical laser hair remover. A hand-operated unit is able to cover areas much larger than the smaller laser devices. The wand issues many pluses of laser light, in fast, effective, and short bursts. Because the head of the device is larger, it does not take a long to treat an area. The benefits are removing hair as well as taking care of different ailments with the skin. The IPL is generally more cost effective to the patient than traditional laser treatments.
Hair removal is a popular treatment for people wanting to get rid of unwanted hair. The IPL is a devise that will "spray" laser light over an area of skin that contains the unwanted hair, and works by targeting the follicles or hair roots. The light converts into heat energy by the time it reaches the hair follicles. This heat energy is what destroys the follicles, and stops the hair from growing back. It can take several visits with the IPL laser as it effectively destroys the hair follicles. Even before the destruction of the hair follicle, the IPL may reduce the growth of the hair in between visits.
The IPL laser hair removal system is safe to use on almost all areas of the body. This cost effective treatment works well and therefore people choose the IPL over traditional laser light. As mentioned above, the IPL can effectively treat certain skin conditions like acne, discolorations, sun damage, broken capillaries, and birthmarks. The IPL can target these skin issues and help to lighten the darkened areas. Because the laser light tends to flow to the darkest part of the skin, the treatment works well. A professional doctor or technician will know how best to focus on the areas to lighten.
The ILP laser hair removal device can stimulate collagen production. The light impulses strike the skin's fibroblasts and this increases collagen production. Collagen is a well-known anti-aging substance. Younger skin has more of this and it is what gives skin a youthful appearance. Older skin does not produce as much and the results are wrinkles. Physicians have found that a treatment by the IPL laser helps the skin to plump up from the increased production of collagen. Many patients seek their physician's advice on this procedure to help them bring back their lost youthful appearance.
The effect is beautiful youthful skin after the IPL laser hair removal device has passed over. Clients and patients are hearing of this break-through technology and are requesting this from the skin technicians more and more today. It is so easy and almost painless to remove hair and treat skin conditions with the IPL. The drawback to this technology is that it does target darker pigments in the skin. This does not work as well for a very fair complected individual because of the lack of darker pigments, in the hair follicles and on the skin.

Reaping the Benefits of Dead Sea Minerals

Dead Sea minerals are the secret to healthy skin
The most common explanation for the Dead Sea acquiring its name is the almost total absence of animal life in the area - the harsh environment of a lake where the salt content is 8.6 times greater than the ocean has made it almost impossible for life to flourish. Yet, out of the depths of such a wilderness comes the incredible natural properties of salt from the Dead Sea. Containing a unique mixture of properties, minerals include some of the most therapeutic natural resources available. These have been developed into facial products and other commodities which have enormous benefits for maintaining healthy skin.
Slow down your aging skin with rich minerals
Using mineral cosmetics and in fact many types of products can have a remarkable impact on your skin. The salt has much less sodium than regular salt and instead is rich with a number of other properties. The minerals combine a unique mixture of magnesium, potassium and zinc among others. The zinc provides natural protection for your skin against UV by stimulating collagen renewal. Meanwhile, when you use a mud mask, you can be sure that the potassium, which accounts for one quarter of the minerals, ensures that your skin remains moist. There is an even higher percentage of magnesium in the minerals, which stimulates proteins and in turn slows down the aging process of your skin, keeping it young and healthy.
Why minerals are good for the soul
In addition to skin care, the range of Dead Sea products is also beneficial for additional wellness. The Dead Sea minerals contain a generous helping of calcium, which is crucial in maintaining the health of your nails, teeth and bones. Perhaps it is no surprise given their tranquil origins, but minerals are also good for producing a relaxed state of mind. The Dead Sea salts that are contained in a Dead Sea bath can make the world of difference to your levels of stress. High concentrations of bromine ensure that you can naturally repair your cell metabolic process, which improves your circulation. The combination of good circulation thanks to the minerals and the warmth of the water make sure that a salt water bath can leave you relaxed and stress-free. Unsurprisingly perhaps, it is recognized as a remedy for insomnia.
The Dead Sea is a unique geological feature on our planet. No wonder therefore that it has produced a unique combination of natural properties in the form of minerals, which benefit both body and mind.

Facial Exercises For Jowls - The Benefits Of Jawline Exercises

As a facial exercise instructor, jawline exercises are one of the most popular techniques I teach. It is a common problem area which can be extremely ageing, but you can go a long way to achieving a fabulously defined jawline by practicing specific facial exercises for jowls!
The sagging skin and loss of definition along the jawline is never a welcome sight, and one which, short of having a facelift, many believe they are stuck with.
It couldn't be further from the truth! Although it may just look like hanging skin, jowls are actually a result of the underlying muscular structure of the face losing tone and definition, and succumbing to the force of gravity.
Muscles Stretch & Atrophy As We Age
As we grow older, if our muscles are not exercised and strengthened, they will begin to stretch and atrophy (waste away). There is a reduction in the subcutaneous (fat) layer of the skin and the elastic connective tissues can become brittle through chemical damage i.e. smoking or sun exposure. All these occurrences can drastically affect our facial skin and result in the appearance of not only sagging, but wrinkles and lines, all common signs of ageing.
This weakening of the underlying facial structure is not taken into account when surgical procedures to 'lift' the face are undertaken. Just stretching the skin tight over a failing base structure is often something which rarely lasts and can easily result in a mask-like, unnatural appearance. Continued practice of facial exercises, on the other hand, will produce a natural, more youthful look which will only improve over the long term.
Facial Muscles Are Attached To The Skin
Unlike the muscles in the rest of your body, which are attached to bone, the numerous muscles found in the face and neck are generally attached to the skin, allowing us to pull facial expressions. This means you can improve the appearance of problem areas of your face by working and toning specific facial muscle groups.
The loss of tone and strength in both the neck (which supports the chin area) and the cheek muscles together with the pull of gravity contribute to the formation of jowls and a lack of definition along the jawline. It is common practice to exercise and strengthen all the different groups of muscles as there is often more than one group working and supporting a specific area of the face.
Jawline Exercises
There are a number of quick and easy jawline exercises which can tone and immensely improve the appearance of jowls and sagging jawlines.
I often practice the following jawline exercise at least twice a day as it's quick and easy!
Stand or sit up straightSpread apart your index finger and thumb of one hand and place on your collar bone, pressing firmly. This action will create the muscle resistance vital to increase the effect of any facial exercise.Using your other hand, press the pad of your thumb fairly gently on your throat at the angle where it meets your chin.Keeping your mouth closed, gradually tip your head backwards keeping the pressure of your thumb constant on your throat. Let the weight of your head do the work, don't force this movementHold for a count of 5Slowly bring your chin back up and then down all the way to your chestReturn head to start position. Repeat 10 times
This is just one of the many facial exercises you can practice which will enhance all areas of your face, toning, lifting and brightening to achieve a more youthful, healthy looking you!
